Care built around you

More than a number on the scale.

Weight is influenced by health, medicines, sleep, hormones, appetite, habits and circumstances. We bring those pieces together before discussing what may help.

No judgement. No shortcuts.

A plan built around your health—not a generic diet.

Your clinician looks at what has helped, what has not and what may be getting in the way. Together, you can agree realistic next steps and the right level of support.

  • Your health in contextWeight history, medical conditions, medicines, sleep, eating patterns and priorities.
  • Clear clinical reasoningWhy an option may be suitable, what the risks are and what alternatives exist.
  • A plan that can changeProgress and tolerability reviewed, with adjustments only when clinically appropriate.

Quick suitability check

Could medical weight management be worth discussing?

Answer three short questions for an indication of the next sensible step. This is not a diagnosis and does not confirm eligibility for treatment.

BMI is only one part of assessment. A clinician also considers your health, medicines, previous attempts and whether online care is safe and appropriate.

Are you aged 18 or over?

Which best describes your situation?

Are you pregnant, breastfeeding or currently receiving support for an eating disorder?

How it works

One plan. Four clear steps.

Your clinician has the information needed to make a safe decision and explain the reasoning. An assessment does not guarantee treatment.

01

Complete your assessment

Share your weight journey, health conditions, medicines, allergies, routines and goals.

02

Meet your clinician

Speak privately online, verify key information and ask the questions that matter to you.

03

Agree your plan

Discuss suitable lifestyle and clinical options, important risks and realistic expectations.

04

Review and adapt

Track progress, tolerability and relevant health markers with ongoing clinical support.

Assessment & health checks

Checks selected for you—not a one-size-fits-all panel.

Your clinician may need verified measurements, blood pressure or recent blood results before recommending treatment. The exact checks depend on your history and the option being considered.

Important to know

Safe care includes knowing when not to prescribe.

Some circumstances need a different route, more information or in-person support before treatment can be considered.

  • Treatment is not suitable for everyone.Suitability depends on age, BMI, medical history, current medicines and individual risk factors.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding matter.Medical weight-management treatment may not be appropriate; tell your clinician if either applies or is planned.
  • Eating-disorder care needs specialist support.Current or previous concerns should be discussed openly so the safest route can be agreed.
  • Online care has limits.Severe symptoms, urgent concerns or the need for examination may require your GP, specialist or emergency care.

Common questions

Before your assessment.

Clear answers to the questions people often ask before starting medical weight-management care.

Does the assessment guarantee a prescription?

No. A clinician recommends treatment only when it is clinically appropriate. They may need more information, recommend tests, suggest a non-prescription plan or direct you to face-to-face care.

How is eligibility decided?

BMI may form part of the decision, but it is not the only factor. Your clinician considers related health conditions, previous weight-management attempts, current medicines, medical history and individual risks.

Will I need blood tests?

Not everyone needs the same checks. Your clinician may request recent results or recommend tests when they are needed to understand risk, exclude another cause or monitor treatment safely.

What if I experience side effects?

Contact the clinical team. Depending on the situation, your plan may be paused, adjusted or stopped. Severe or rapidly worsening symptoms may require urgent medical attention.

What happens when I reach my goal?

Maintenance should be discussed before treatment ends. Your clinician can help plan sustainable routines, ongoing monitoring and what to do if weight begins to return.

What if online care is not suitable?

Your clinician should explain why and guide you towards the right next step, such as your GP, a specialist, urgent care or an in-person examination.
